How do i help my friends dogs?

okay so my friends dogs are yorkies and everyday they are put into a small crate with no light and 3 times a day taken out to poop then put back in. they never pett it or give it love and they never get excersice. I recently went over to ehr house and asked if i could let out her dog but she said no and she really didnt seem to care. I once told then that they need excersice and love that they dont give them but right when i say that she acts like she loves them and pets them. What should i do?!?! in my eyes its animal abuse!!!
